I saw them in September when I was shopping at Zara in Paris. I honed in on them like a hummingbird to red.

I was there to capture the latest streetstyle trends outside Paris Fashion Week with a friend. The most memorable were full-body spandex bodysuits with pointy heels, mini skirts with huge army boots, and gingham dresses with gigantic puffy sleeves. I fell for all of it, but where does one wear a full-body spandex bodysuit IRL in a Canadian winter?

I think I fell for these paper bag waist pants because they felt edgy and relaxed. Like fancy jogging pants with a Reality Bites attitude. They felt gender neutral, with a slouchy artistic vibe that I gravitate towards.
