Velvet, full skirts, and metallics reign at Rochas Show #PFW

The location for the Rochas fashion show was the Palais de Tokyo. The setting was pure fun.  Soooo much fashion….where do I begin?

Volume.  In skirts and in all the way down to the ankle. Also in proportions of longer top to bottoms.
Velvet for Fall is always dreamy…shoes and dresses are no exception.
(Model Daphne Greneveld)
Metallics were everywhere…no need to wait for night time anymore.  Shine bright like a diamond in the daytime.

Men’s shirting + dresses = a no brainer.

(Giovanna Engelbert. Shirt by Vivianne Westwood. Dress by her sister Sahra Battaglia.)
A trench does not have to come in beige and it certainly doesn’t have to be heavy or have any real function other than beauty.  And please if your hair is long enough, tuck it IN!!! (you will see that I insist you do this with sweaters as well!)
(Nicole Warne. Protanistnyc dress from net-a-porter. @garypeppergirl)
If yesterday was about an embellished collar well then today is about the embellished sleeve.  You need to move fast people. LOL.
Statement Earrings and Sweaters. Say it.  Whether it be with jewelry or knitwear…get your message out there.  And please tuck that hair in.  I can’t explain why but it makes me happy.  (ps. growing out my hair now just to tuck).
Even since you have been reading this post, fashion has changed again…it’s gone from neckline to sleeves and now back to details….HOW DO WE KEEP UP?!  We just try our best.  It’s the only answer.
A few dapper lads.
