I was very attracted to a burgandy large-brimmed felt hat at Anthropologie last fall and tried it on.  I didn’t end up buying it much to my later regret.  Low and behold, didn’t my pyschic friend buy it for me for my birthday !  Sadly it then sat there all winter because I couldn’t figure out how to wear it.
